Our Beliefs

As a church family, we believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God. His son Jesus, invites each of us to daily live boldly for Him.

At Spring Hill Church of Christ, we believe that we need to use God's Word to guide us in our actions and we must follow His Word as closely as possible (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It is our belief that God has something to say to us today and we want to carefully examine His Word in order to be led.

About God

God is the Creator, the Ruler of the Universe, eternal and exists as a Trinity as the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. He is holy, all-knowing, all-loving, and is everywhere. In Him, we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28).

About Jesus

Jesus is the Son of God who came to earth and lived a sinless life. Then he willingly went to the cross to die for us so that we have the hope of Heaven. He conquered death by being raised after three days and then ascended to Heaven to prepare a home for His believers. One day he will return again to judge the world and bring all of God’s believers to Heaven with Him.

About Baptism & Salvation

Baptism (being fully immersed) into Christ is commanded several times in the Bible and is a requirement in the plan of salvation. This is the place where faith, a decision, and an action come together to add someone to the family of God.

Salvation is the gift from baptism that comes from a life of faithfulness. This is given to us by mercy and grace from God the Father. A few examples are Matthew 3:16; 28:19-20, Romans 6:1-8, Ephesians 5:26, Titus 3:3-5, Acts 2:28 and many others.

About Worship

Worship should be a daily action for all of us but especially every first day of the week on Sunday together as a community of believers. When we worship together, we sing together acapella (without the use of instruments), we pray together, we remember the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus by sharing in the Lord’s Supper and we are encouraged with a lesson from God’s Word. See Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16 and 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
